The SamurAI respects the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your personal information. This Privacy Statement is intended to help you understand and manage how we collect and safeguard your personal information.

This Privacy Statement and our practices comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended (“CCPA”), and any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Privacy Statement. The treatment of any non-personal information is discussed in our Terms and Conditions.

Disclosure of Personal Information

SamurAI may disclose your personal information to a service provider, contractor or third party for a Business Purpose. SamurAI may “sell” (within the definition of the CCPA) your personal information by disclosing individual names and/or business contact information to industry partners that are identified sponsors of activities in which you participate who request a list of individuals who participate in sponsored activities, subject to your right to opt-out of those sales. When we disclose or sell personal information, we enter into a contract with that service provider, contractor, or third party that describes the limited and specified purpose of the disclosure or sale, requires the recipient to comply with applicable obligations under the CCPA and provide the same level of privacy protection as mandated by the CCPA, and grants The SamurAI the rights necessary to take reasonable and appropriate steps to help ensure the personal information is used in a manner consistent with the recipient’s obligations. The CCPA prohibits third parties to whom SamurAI may be deemed to have sold the personal information we hold from reselling it, unless you have received explicit notice and an opportunity to opt-out of further sales.

Restriction and Termination of Use

The following activities are also expressly prohibited without SamurAI's prior written permission: any non-personal or commercial use; use of any robot, spider, other automatic device, or manual process to monitor or copy the Website or any of its content; "mirroring" the Website or any content on any other server; collection or use of product listings, descriptions, or prices for a supplier of competitive or comparable products; and any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Website or otherwise interferes with its functioning.

  • The document may be used solely for informational purposes;
  • The document may not be modified or altered in any way;
  • Any copy of the document or portion thereof must include the copyright notice above and this permission notice; and
  • SamurAI reserves the right to revoke such authorization at any time, and any such use shall be discontinued immediately upon written notice from SamurAI.

Security

We have implemented appropriate security measures in order to protect your personal information, both online and off-line. All access to the Website is, by default, encrypted and protected using TLS 1.2.

All personal information is stored in database servers that cannot route traffic outside our internal network, and that have no access to the public Internet. Physical access to our servers is restricted; the servers are located in a datacenter that is only accessible to designated IT staff and is properly locked and off-limits to visitors.

All user passwords are stored using a one-way hash function. It is impossible for us to see what these passwords are; we can only verify that the hash value of what the user has entered matches the stored value.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under this Privacy Statement.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

If we modify our Privacy Statement, we will post those changes on our Website, accessible from the home page and elsewhere, so our Users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. You can see when this Privacy Statement was last updated by checking the “Effective Date” displayed at the top of this Privacy Statement. A banner informing our Users of the change in this Privacy Statement will be displayed for two weeks after the change.

If at any point we decide to use personal data for purposes incompatible with those stated at the time it was collected, we will make reasonable efforts to notify Users of the change by sending a message to your email address or by displaying a banner requesting Users' consent to this change for two weeks before the change takes place. Users will have the option to refuse the change and request the deletion of their User profile and of their personal data. User continued use of the Website, and the Services, after the revised Privacy Statement has become effective indicated that you have read, understood, and agreed to the latest version applicable of the Privacy Statement, as indicated above.
